NEYMAR SIGNATURE MOVE
Neymar’s signature move is known as the “Neymar Juggle” or “Neymar Elastico”—a combination of quick footwork, flair, and agility. The move is about tricking the defender by quickly changing direction, often followed by a burst of speed. Here's how to do his famous Elastico (or “Flip-Flap”) move, which is one of his most iconic skills:
Steps to do Neymar’s signature Elastico (Flip-Flap):
Positioning the Ball: Start by dribbling the ball at a moderate speed towards a defender. Ideally, you want to approach them at an angle rather than head-on. Neymar often uses this move to beat defenders when running at them, so make sure you're already moving fast.
First Touch: Use the outside of your foot (usually the outside of your dominant foot) to push the ball away slightly, as if you're preparing to take the ball in that direction.
The Flip-Flap (Elastico) Action:
- Quick Switch: After pushing the ball with the outside of your foot, immediately use the inside of the same foot to flick the ball in the opposite direction. This quick change of foot (outside to inside) makes the defender think you're going one way, then quickly going the other.
- Foot Movement: The key part of the move is using a fluid motion where your foot "flips" from the outside touch to an inside touch in a rapid, smooth motion. This creates an illusion that you’re going to continue in one direction but then suddenly switch paths.
Acceleration: Once you've executed the move, burst with acceleration to get past the defender while they’re reacting to the change in direction.
Final Touch: After pulling off the Elastico, you can either continue dribbling, pass, or shoot, depending on the situation.
